Positive Futures: Learning how to Prepare for Later Life

Posted in: News on April 25, 2012

Review, the Journal of Life Academy, features in its’ Spring 2012 edition an article contributed by Lynne Wealleans, BJF’s Positive Ageing Manager. It provides a view of life planning from an alternative perspective to those of financial and individualistic ones and is based on the evidence drawn from our positive ageing work since 2001. It particularly highlights BJF’s Age Readiness project, developed through funding from NESTA,(National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts) which aimed to raise awareness around the issue of preparing and planning for later life and to encourage people in mid-life to life plan in a similar vein to career or financial planning. Please visit Life Academy’s website for further details of the journal or contact Lynne for more information.
