8th World Congress on Active Ageing

The 8th World Congress on Active Ageing co-hosted by Glasgow Caledonian University and the BHF National Centre was held last week in Glasgow. Held every 4 years, this showcase event presented a unique opportunity to bring together scientists and practitioners, experts and enthusiasts from a range of professional interests and disciplines involved in the promotion of Active Ageing. It was also very well attended by individuals and older persons’ groups.Attending on the Falls Prevention and Bone Health day, the Beth Johnson Foundation was represented at the Symposia entitled ‘Entering Old Age’ and delivered a presentation on the work of our Health Improvement Project especially the Active in Age programme.
