I thnk it is a brilliant idea and can only prove beneficial to the older generation, to give them an extra outside interest, which would get them out of the house on a regular basis with an extra interest to keep the mind occupied.

Moving out of the house on a regular basis will give people an extra exercise to keep mobility going.

A meeting with like minded people of simular age can only be beneficial to the community. It would keep the mind alert and exercise the mind and body.
