Blog: Age of Creativity

January 22, 2013

There are so many websites nowadays that is it easy to become a web tourist, flicking across the pages but never really staying long enough to get to know the local culture – and then I looked at this site from the Baring Foundation and AgeUK Oxfordshire- Age of Creativity. There are so many great projects and stories here and it is inspiring to see how much culture and creativity are a part of who we are as human beings. Too often we spend time on those aspects of our ageing society that are seen as challenging but here is a vivid and vibrant portrayal of older people, and their communities living their lives well and creating wonderful experiences and things together. This is certainly a place I am going to spend time at.Dr Alan Hatton-Yeo MBEChief Executive - Beth Johnson Foundation
