Silver Line Launched

Esther Rantzen CBE has launched a free, confidential advice line for older people, Silverline This is available for 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and will provide advice and friendship in a world where there are so many who are lonely and have nobody to support them from one day to another. We could call it a lifeline for, as research shows from the Campaign to End Loneliness, there are over 800,000 individuals in England alone who are lonely for most or all of the time.We are the Campaign to End Loneliness's Staffordshire partner in Loneliness Harms Health Campaign, highlighting the detrimental effects on health of being lonely.Read here what they have to say about SilverlineStephen Fry talks here about his battle with depression
