Staffordshire & Wolverhampton Cancer Advocacy

Beth Johnson Foundation working in partnership with Macmillan and OPAAL.

The extension of the project into the City of  Wolverhampton was officially launched on 15th October to an invited audience and was attended by the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress, Councillors Ian and Paula Brookfield. Kath Curley, Project Manager, gave a short presentation outlining the background to the Project and its expansion to include older people affected by cancer residing in Wolverhampton. Anna Lynall, Associate Macmillan Development Manager, expressed Macmillan’s delight at the growth of the  project and talked about the need to support older people and carers affected by cancer. The Lord Mayor gave his support to the project and expressed an interest in becoming a cancer champion.
