NHS Bosses Call For New Deal
NHS CEO Simon Stevens says Britain urgently needs a new political consensus on paying for older people and social care, and the debate on funding should consider the value of people’s pensions and homes. In the Guardian today he states that one of the problems in tackling the challenge of how to support an ageing population was whether some of the money spent on increasing state pensions should instead be allocated for social care.
