Bereavement Help Points Update
Christmas can be a very difficult time for anyone who has been bereaved and this year’s restrictions may make it even harder, particularly for older people who are more likely to live alone with fewer social connections.  To offer extra support, the Beth Johnson Foundation Bereavement Help Point meetings will continue to run over the Christmas period.

Bereavement Help Point groups give people the opportunity to share emotional support with others who have experienced a bereavement. Group members say that they feel better having talked to others who understand their grief and they feel it is a safe space to share their story.

The weekly online social groups allow people to support each other from the comfort and safety of their own home. Trained staff and volunteers welcome people joining the groups and support them to use phones, tablets and laptops to join the Zoom meetings.  It is also possible to join Zoom groups via a landline.  We can also provide telephone befriending support to anyone who isn't ready to join our online meetings.
