Staffordshire Cancer Advocacy-Central Staffs Launch

Today is the launch of our Staffordshire Cancer Advocacy Project for the Central Stafford area. Already launched in North Staffordshire this project, funded by Macmillan Cancer Support, is going to help many cancer sufferer's with support and guidance through some very difficult times in their lives. The project will soon expand into South and East Staffordshire over the coming months enabling more cancer patients to get the vital support they need. 'How integrated is modern Britain?'

The Beth Johnson Foundation is one of the members of this commission, the report published 26th June was new research published by the Social Integration Commission and reveals that Londoners’ social lives are more segregated by age, social grade and ethnicity relative to the level of diversity than in the rest of Britain. People living in London, typically viewed as one of the most diverse cities in the world, are proportionally less integrated by social grade, ethnicity and age than the average person living in Britain. ... Our Dementia - Outcomes

As reported previously, on June 25th the Advocacy Team at The Beth Johnson Foundation, Betty Machin and Jane Snape presented a short film to an invited audience where a group of people who have been diagnosed with Dementia discussed their views on the illness, services provided and what they would improve their experiences.
