Sporting Tales
The Federation of Stadium Communities (FSC) developed a model of using sporting heritage as a focus for intergenerational practice which it delivered as ‘Port Vale Tales,’ Shrews Tales and More’ and Swinton Lions Tales and More’. FSC dissolved as a charity in June 2012 but its legacy of sporting heritage work has been transferred as an asset to the Beth Johnson Foundation. The programme of ‘Sporting Tales’ is the development of this legacy that also draws upon the concept of ‘Healthy Stadia’ in that it is an holistic and integrated approach that supports Government targets for public health, social inclusion and sustainable communities.Download (Format: .pdf, Added: 07/08/2022)
