BJF Dementia Advocacy Peer Support Group have been involved in a series of films by Bigger House Films, through DEEP (Dementia Engagement and Empowerment Project) and funded by The National Lottery Community Fund. Together with other organisations members of the groups have described how they reacted when they received their diagnosis, what surprises them, what makes them smile and much more. These honest, open stories can give some insight into how some people deal with living with dementia and give us better understanding of what it is like to have this diagnosis. We would like to thank everyone concerned in making these films and we hope that everyone who watches them will share them.
